Their Art Initiative helps us achieve our mission and visions of beautifying Auckland.
“We have thousands of cabinets on New Zealand streets but unfortunately some present tempting targets for graffiti. Our cabinet art programme sees the most frequently hit cabinets turned into beautiful works of art.Started in 2010, our cabinet art project helps combat tagging on our cabinets and the mural concept has since gone from strength to strength. We're now working with local communities and councils to identify artists and suitable designs that are meaningful to and fit with the area.” - Chorus
We're seeking designs that will inspire the community to grow their own food. The theme is based on our Eye on Nature 2017 Event's key message "Edibles - From the ground to the table".
Groups or individuals who enter should live, work or study in the area.
Entries are open to all residents in South Auckland, including artists who have previously worked on Chorus cabinets.
