2017 sees the launch of the New Zealand Broadband Compare Awards. In their inaugural year, the Broadband Compare Awards will cover every aspect of the New Zealand broadband market and will culminate in a gala awards night and presentation at the Sapphire Room in Auckland, on 2 November 2017.
Supported by Consumer NZ, the prestigious awards will recognise the companies that provide New Zealanders with the very best products and services in the broadband industry. With a range of different categories including best home and mobile provider, best customer support, fastest service, best rural provider and best broadband innovation.
Winning a Broadband Compare Award depends on a combination of criteria. These include consumer surveys and reviews on the Broadband Compare website, decisions from our expert judging panel, as well as broadband speed and reliability data that is collated from thousands of speed tests throughout the year.
"Judged by an independent panel of New Zealand experts and presented at our gala awards event, the Broadband Compare Awards provide a unique stage on which we recognize and reward the achievements of the New Zealand broadband eco-system," said Gavin Male, Founder of Broadband Compare.

• Consumer NZ Broadband Provider of the Year
The finalists for the Broadband Compare People’s Choice Award and the Consumer NZ Broadband Provider of the Year award will be selected by the judges through a shortlisting of entrants in other categories.
The culmination of the Broadband Compare Awards will be a spectacular gala awards night in Auckland on Thursday 2nd November 2017. Tickets to this, the New Zealand broadband industry’s ’Oscar night’ are strictly limited - to join more than 150 industry leaders and senior executives at the event, you must book your tickets early. The Broadband Compare Awards are hosted by Broadband Compare, the leading broadband comparison website in New Zealand. Supported by Consumer NZ, the Broadband Compare Awards will recognise the companies that provide New Zealanders with the very best products and services in the broadband industry. The awards are judged by a combination of consumer surveys and reviews on the Broadband Compare website, consultation with our expert judging panel, as well as broadband speed and reliability data that has been collected throughout the year. The independent judging panel will announce the winners on November 2 at the gala awards ceremony in front of a Who's Who of the New Zealand broadband sector.
