I had a connection problem from Dec.15th to Dec.18th despite renewal of my subscription. I contacted technical support twice but to no avail. In fact, the line was hanged up in the second time before answering. I had no choice but to call sales and finance where I was answered by Russel who showed absolute professionalism, technical competence, and patience. He stayed enthusiastically with me on the phone for about an hour until the problem was solved and fulfilled all my requirements. Easy set up and convenient connection. Lead time is almost zero.
Cons
Less value for money compared with other providers. Disrupted connections, however infrequent and irregular. Very long waiting time on the phone when contacting customer service.

I can review both mobile service and Fibre/broadband.

Mobile - retail support can be very lacking, phone support as well, emails are never responded to, we encountered some truly rude and incompetent staff, initial setup took weeks. Service itself is decent once you get it up and running.

Fibre - HORRIBLE. They set up the connection improperly on their end and despite spending upwards of 6 hours on the phone with their tech support (each time we also had to have 45-60 min on hold before speaking), it never worked correctly. The tech supports all seemed a bit sexist and mansplained the same unhelpful nonsense to me (a woman) and never listened when I tried to explain why they were going down the wrong path. They also are not willing to help with setup if you bring your own router/modem. In the end, the service just didn’t work and we went back to NOW which is a million times better and more reliable with a helpful support team. 2degrees still charged us the full $199 disconnect fee, even though their connection was never functioning. ...read more

We have had NOW at two different homes in two different parts of the country and in both places, their service and internet has been far beyond what competitors offer. Fast speeds, easy connection and setup, many ways to quickly get support when needed (email, chat, phone, tech appointments in the home) and they all speak to you like you are a valued customer. Just a very positive experience, at every interaction. Their technicians also know how to help set up all kinds of fancy routers and modems that you might already own, where competitors typically tell you to figure it out yourself. ...read more

Very helpful staff. My issue is with inconsistent speed. This has been long term. Vodafone recommend having a technician check the aerial orientation and equipment. Farmside not prepared to do that. Advised to go elsewhere.

Just switched over to NOW. The whole process was simple, effortless and trouble free. I had a phone call from NOW support a couple of days prior to the changeover to ensure we were ready and they offered to send a technician round to help set up the modem. On the changeover day I only had one small issue which was sorted after less than 10 minutes on the phone.

Having lost all phone and wifi on a Saturday, I started to go into withdrawal. However, a quick phone call on Monday soon had a cheerful, efficient technician there to promptly replace a non-working modem and all is now well with the world

Yup saw the details from chorus about upgrading speed to 300 mbps. Checked and getting 20 checked again and again got up to 34 mbps. Getting time outs when going to other sites.
Just as soon as the year is up I'm off , never to come back. Thats vodafone, 2 degrees and slingshot out of the running.

Was with them for a year. I was getting average fibre speeds of about 9Mb/s and constantly contacting help-desk. They would get speed back up to 70 to 100mb/s but then within 30 mins, speed would go back down to below 10. I thought they were scamming me. Will never use slingshot again, for anything.

We have been long time slingshot customers with no problems until moving to a new address.
Since having fibre installed at the new address we have had 3 months of nearly non existent internet.
We have had many phone calls between slingshot and us. Each time we speak to a different person who gets us to run the same tests, which don’t work because our internet doesn’t work.
