On install I had network speed issues and despite following all the required tests no one at BigPipe could explain why my connection was not up to speed. In frustration I decided to try to resolve it myself, took apart the wiring and found that Chorus had put a screw through the cable - once I changed the wire all was ok until my plan was "upgraded" .
I'm now on 1000mb download and my service is so inconsistent that since the first week of gigabit service its never gone beyond 500mb. In fact the speed is ranging from 15mb - 150mb(if I'm really lucky) the majority of the time it sits around 20mb download with upload bouncing between 200-500mb.
Dealing with their customer service is a nightmare as its all by email and its always the same answer - test via the ONT etc etc. Given the fact my speed was working properly after I repaired the wiring, my internal network has remained constant and I have had reason to contact them multiple times since with the same problem, I would have hoped that being on their top plan somebody in customer service might have thought "Hey whats going on here" and picked up the phone or sent Chorus around to check.
But no - instead I keep getting the same generic email and no real follow up.

Am really not impressed! Recently after refusing over 2 years to replace the old modem they gave me when I first got the internet. I went and bought myself a new one, mindful to "future-proff" myself. Now they want me to pay $100 to get anther new modem if I want faster broadband through them! I don't think so!

No good in small town. Was OK in Auckland, bu now that I have moved to Dargaville unacceptably slow.

Abismally slow. No 24/7 support. Week day support only. Staff very unhelpful.

Avoid spark. They have totally stuffed up my xtra account and have done absolutely nothing whatso ever even though I have written, emailed and phoned.

Absolutely everything and no service and costs way too much. Even $10 a month is too much for what I am getting now.

Joined Snap before 2 degrees bought them, since then it's been all down hill. Wish this purchase had never happened!
Pros
They don't pester you with emails about promo's etc.
Cons
You NEVER hear from them. You have to do all the communication. My speeds have dropped by 40% over past 2 years (2 Degs aren't concerned about this)

Changed to Wireless Broadband from copper. Everything good, no problems or issues, exactly as promised
Pros
Plug in the modem supplied and go, no digging or connecting. Can't comment on support as we haven't needed any
Cons
Phone dropped twice out so just moved the modem a few centimetres away and then no hassles

Never had any issues, so support was given benefit of the doubt. Was on Fibre 200 plan, 200 Mpbhs was achievable up and down for local servers.
