Very reliable 4G wireless in rural areas where provided
Pros
Reliable, high speed connection. Faster than many fibre plans!
Cons
Hampered to a large extent by use of Huawei technology, its poor software and other shortcomings. No unlimited plans. Expensive compared to wired connections.

Absolute WASTE OF TIME. Had no internet connection for more then a month (and still waiting) because chorus had hooked up the wrong house and spark couldnt figure out why it says this address had internet at their end but we had nothing at ours. Their ineptitude cost me $1000 in lost earnings for time off for installation and the pain of not having internet for a month which hindered both me and my partners income immensly.
Pros
None
Cons
Entire experience with spark broadband

Customer support never followed through with a replacement router after determining that I needed a new one and tried to say I had to pay for it which would cost me $200?! After checking with the manager, it was confirmed that it will be free of charge and that it will be dispatched to me the following day. Old Router worked the following day surprisingly and I never received the new router or a phone call. Hopeless service!
Pros
Allows automatic payment which is my preference

Bills are sent to my emails monthly
Cons
Customer support - ZERO

Router loses connection more frequently

Since moving to Skinny from Vodafone, the service has been really poor, disconnecting many times an hour, and we can't use Chromecast. Support took weeks to get back to us, and there were 40 minute waits to speak with someone on the phone. We were eventually sent a replacement modem, but this was worse, not better in terms of Internet speed and reliability. When we attempted live chat, they gave us the wrong information and asked us to do a test that was not applicable to our fibre service and it brought down the Internet completely. After weeks of this, and insisting on speaking with a supervisor, we were referred to a properly trained technician who advised us after much investigation that we'd been given the wrong information previously during our dealings with support staff. Ultimately, we were advised that the Skinny network could not provide us with stable Internet service at the speeds advertised as part of their package. We are in the process of trying to find another provider. My advice would be to avoid them at all cost. You get (or in this case, don't even get) what you pay for. ...read more
Pros
Cheap
Cons
Slow, unreliable Internet, poor support, poorly trained staff with each staff member telling you something different. Can't use Chromecast with Skinny.

Their billing system makes no sense. During my 5 months with them they double deducted a direct credit, sent me incorrect and misleading invoices and were very difficult to deal with on the phone (missleading and differing answers from multiple staff)
Pros
May be the only affordable internet in rural locations. Their modem without antenna is much cheaper then vodafone
Cons
Their billing and finance system makes no sense and often has errors that lead to incorrect invoices or duplicate charges. This is very time consuming to resolve.
